Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily administrative operations of the chuch office and finances.
- Collaborate closely with church leadership to align administrative functions with church's mission.
- Exhibit servant leadership to the church's talented and dedicated staff members.
-Manage bank relations and loan activities, employee benefits, columbarium niche sales, annual audit and preparation of annual budget.
` - Organize Budget and Endowment committee meetings.
- Review and approve recording of contributions, quarterly and annual giving statements, vendor invoices and checks, payroll reports and tax returns, bank reconciliations, investment statements and monthly financial reports.
- Maintain personnel records, all insurance polices, equipment leases and inventory of church equipment.
- Participate with Personnel Committee in hiring staff and annual staff reviews.
- Attend monthly Session and annual congregational meeting.
- Perform other duties at the direction of the Senior Minister.
- Must be able to pass background check.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of and support the church's mission statement, beliefs, and commitment.
- Exhibit excellent interprersonal and leadership skills.
- Display strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong computer abilities and experience with Quickbooks, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, required and ACS, is preferred.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and intergrity
- Show a commitment to continous improvment and professional growth.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MBA or CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of senior administrative experience preferably in a church setting.
