Job Summary:
The senior accounting specialist will assist with taxes and is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of accounts receivables, cash flow, payroll and expenses.
This position will be responsible to ensure that accurate records are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as internal controls.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain accounting systems for the company.
Maintain documentation for processes, risks, controls, and segregation of duties.
Assist in all aspects of a financial reporting system including budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations.
Provide support to audit teams in order to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements; assist with preparation of monthly reports on accounts payable (including payroll) as well as quarterly statements.
Assist with budget reports and variance reports.
Assist with tax preparation and reporting as needed.
Analyzes key data and prepares monthly performance report.
Assist with GL closings.
Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Experience with ERP systems (Great Plains) preferred.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Cost accounting experience, a plus.
Demonstrative experience not only in accounting, but finance.
Previous experience with documenting processes, risks, and controls.
Previous experience with taxes is preferred.
Understanding of accounting principles.
Handle all aspects of financial reporting.
Excellent organizational skills.
5+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Previous experience in accounting, required.
CPA License, a plus.
