Job Summary:
Little Wild Ones daycare is seeking passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teachers to join our team.
As a Pre-K Teacher, you will be responsible for nurturing the development of children aged from infancy through 4 years old, creating a safe and engaging learning environment, and fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child development, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assist in Curriculum Development:
* Assist in Designing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities for infants through 4K children, focusing on cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
* Incorporate sensory experiences, creative arts, music, movement, and storytelling into daily lesson plans.
* Plan and organize educational field trips and special events to enhance learning experiences.
* Classroom Management:
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Establish and enforce classroom rules and behavioral expectations in a positive and supportive manner.
* Encourage positive interactions and foster a sense of community among children.
* Individualized Learning:
* Observe and assess each child's developmental progress and tailor teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.
* Provide differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to share progress updates and collaborate on child development goals.
* Health and Safety:
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by closely supervising activities and maintaining a secure environment.
* Follow daycare policies and procedures for hygiene, sanitation, and health practices.
* Administer first aid and respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents as needed.
* Parent Communication:
* Establish and maintain open and collaborative communication with parents/guardians, including regular updates on their child's development and daily activities.
* Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss progress, address concerns, and set goals for each child.
* Professional Development:
* Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
* Collaborate with colleagues and attend staff meetings to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving teaching practices.
* Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress reports, and developmental assessments.
* Complete required documentation, such as incident reports, medication logs, and daily activity logs.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Required for lead teachers and preferred for teacher assistants.
* Previous experience working with infants and young children in a daycare or preschool setting.
* Strong understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the needs of a diverse group of children.
