Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
- Monitor and assess each child's individual needs and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Special education experience or training is a plus
Skills:
- Classroom Management: Skill in creating a structured and engaging learning environment for young children
- Toddler Care: Experience in caring for and meeting the developmental needs of toddlers
- Child Welfare: Understanding of child protection policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom
- Early Childhood Education: Familiarity with theories, practices, and methodologies in early childhood education
- Experience with Children: Previous experience working directly with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Educate: Ability to facilitate learning experiences that promote growth and development in young children
- Childcare: Knowledge of best practices in providing high-quality childcare services
- Special Education: Understanding of strategies and accommodations for children with special needs
