Education Summer Camp Counselor
Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach is looking for Summer Camp Counselors.
Camp Counselors have the opportunity to inspire and educate campers about marine life while creating unforgettable memories in a vibrant and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Engaging Educational Activities: Lead hands-on, interactive activities and camps that promote understanding and appreciation of marine ecosystems, conservation efforts, and aquatic life.
Supervise Campers: Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times during all activities, adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Cultivate a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where campers feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop a deeper connection with the natural world.
Assist with Camp Logistics: Assist in setting up and cleaning up camp facilities, organizing supplies, and maintaining equipment to ensure smooth operations throughout the summer.
Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with fellow counselors, educators, and aquarium staff to coordinate schedules, plan activities, and address any camper needs or concerns.
Provide Excellent Guest Service: Interact with campers, parents, and visitors in a friendly, professional manner, answering questions, providing information, and addressing any issues or feedback.
Must be able to pass a background check.
