We are searching for a motivated, detail-oriented Family Law Attorney to join our team and support the legal requirements in South Carolina.
If you are a self-assured, team-oriented individual with at least three years of expertise practicing family law in South Carolina and have managed and supervised paralegals and other staff members, then we want to interview you! Compensation: $85,000+ yearly DOE Responsibilities: Help effectively solve legal problems for clients by analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, and marital settlement agreements, handle the division of marital assets, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases Attend court proceedings as needed to ensure effective representation of clients Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process Host consultation meetings to meet with potential clientele and outline the services and level of expertise our firm can provide, as well as a suggested legal course of action for each individual's unique needs Provide an unparalleled client experience so that each customer of the Firm knows they are a priority for you and our team at CFELG.
Engage in frequent contact with all clients Set boundaries for clients when needed to ensure the firm is profitable and our attorneys protected from potential liability Confirm all work is consistently quality-reviewed for case law and written content/clarity At times, you will also need to know how to figure things out on your own and be able to creatively problem solve and come up with workable solutions Qualifications: License to practice law in South Carolina; North Carolina or Georgia is a plus but not required 3+ years experience working in a law firm on family law issues, with sufficient experience to work independently on certain cases and retain new clients Experience with billing and keeping track of billable time on cases Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations Empathetic to clients going through stressful domestic situations/divorces Team-oriented, flexible, organized, and willing to work across office locations when needed is a plus Self-starter who will take the proactive initiative to complete priorities on a daily basis Ability to creatively problem-solve and come up with workable solutions, figure things out on your own We are seeking someone detail-oriented and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right the first time.
