Community Association Management Services (CAMS) is one of the fastest-growing community association management companies in the southeastern US.
We are seeking a motivated individual with prior property management experience to continue education and eventually work their way into becoming a Community Association Manager to be responsible for a portfolio of communities in the Myrtle Beach, SC region.
As a CAMS Community Associate, you will essentially be a Manager in Training, who will be responsible for learning how to manage a portfolio of our increasing number of homeowner’s associations.
You will shadow Community Managers within the regional office and begin the educational journey to be a certified portfolio manager.
Our managers are supported by a team of specialists dedicated to assisting the general membership of the communities we serve.
Once your educational level aligns with being able to hold a portfolio of properties, duties will include and not be limited to the following:
The Ongoing Objectives of This Position Will Include
Maintaining communication with boards of directors and homeowners
Responding appropriately to homeowner needs
Preparing and presenting budgets to community boards
Analyzing monthly financial reports and creating variance reports for boards of directors
Creating monthly management reports
Contacting and coordinating with vendors for community maintenance and special projects
Overseeing daily operations of the HOAs in your portfolio
Attending regular meetings with the management firm
Supervising administrative and maintenance staff when applicable
Requirements:
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to be detail-oriented
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Proven proficiency with learning new technology
Proven capability to review and analyze financial reports
Knowledge of proper meeting order
Ability to create and maintain a proper working budget
Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Education, Licensing and Experience
Bachelor's degree
2+ Years in the Property Management Field (strongly preferred)
Benefits and Salary
The position is full time and the salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Starting annual salary begins at $40,000-$45,000 annually with an increase once promotion to full Community Manager takes place within 6 months to a year.
The CAMS compensation package includes a base salary and bonus opportunities.
