DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the golf course superintendent in creating and monitoring yearly budgets for all areas of responsibilities.
• Establish and implement the maintenance schedules for all landscaped areas.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training all landscape crew members; planning, assigning, and direction of work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Plan and install all golf course landscape projects including irrigation of such projects.
• Applies and stores pesticides to ornamental plantings in accordance with regulation.
• Maintains neat and accurate records of all pesticide applications.
• Requires knowledge in the safe mechanical operation of all equipment and tools.
• Design flower beds, cultivates shrubs and flowers, maintain mulch and pine straw areas.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery.
• Designs, installs, and maintains low pressure irrigation systems for landscaping.
• Instructs groundskeepers in routine maintenance of ornamental plantings.
• Promote a positive relationship with team members in all departments and divisions.
• Performs all work related to any/all HOA or POA contract agreements.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Actively demonstrate, encourage, and model safety rules and guidelines in accordance with state and federal law, using personal protective equipment as required.
• Report safety or hazard concerns to management immediately.
• Report any work-related injury to management immediately.
• Take personal responsibility for safety every day.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE EDUCATION
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have working knowledge of all golf course specific operations
• Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind)
• Must be able to walk a minimum of five miles daily, able to lift 70 lbs, willing to stand or sit for long periods of time.
