Successful candidates will be expected to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with internal team members and stakeholders.
The Permitting Coordinator will manage project tracking, project closeout, prepare agency applications, compile agency submittals, and assist in daily organization of permitting and entitlement efforts.
This role involves considerable coordination amongst various teams, agencies and clients as required.
This position may support multiple projects in various areas throughout the southeast from our Pawleys Island location.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
· Coordinate permit requests and scheduling with various governmental agencies while acting as a liaison for clients.
· Complete and submit permit application forms and file proper documentation.
· Communicate with project teams regularly on permitting status.
· Update and track the status of each permit while ensuring appropriate teams remain informed of the status for each permit.
· Compile and maintain expected timelines for submittals, approvals, and the corresponding contact for each governing office.
· Develop and maintain professional relationships with the governing jurisdictions while serving as the internal subject matter expert related to agency permitting processes.
· Meet and communicate with internal teams and/or government agencies for project updates.
· Coordinate with Project Managers regarding construction schedules and permit requirements.
· Manage permit expirations and renewals while coordinating with clients/contractors.
· Administrative tasks in support of the Civil Engineering, Land Surveying and Landscape Architecture Team.

*Experience*
· Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
· 2+ years’ experience in administration support required.
· 2+ years’ experience acquiring land use permits, preparing permit applications and related entitlement documents preferred.
· 1 – 3 years of land development experience preferred.
· Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
· Business Development/Marketing experience a plus.
