The Business Development Specialist at TravelBoom plays a crucial role in driving the growth and success of TravelBoom by identifying, analyzing, and pursuing new business opportunities to contribute to the company's overall success.
You will collaborate with various teams and departments to develop and execute strategic new business initiatives that align with TravelBoom's objectives.
You will be expected to quickly develop a full breadth of knowledge of the offerings and expertise at TravelBoom, knowing how to speak about each offering with enough understanding and passion to answer key prospect questions before bringing in a service functional expert.
As a business development specialist, your job duties include making cold calls and email pitches to leads and potential clients, traveling to meet with existing clients or make in-person sales pitches, and providing training sessions or consultations.
These sessions explain how your company's products or services can meet your clients' needs.
You also follow up with clients on a regular basis to share new information or answer questions.
Responsibilities for this role:
Identify new leads or avenues for growth.
Call leads to offer our products.
Close deals with new leads.
Ensure all contracts are in compliance with company standards.
Take calls from clients to maintain the relationship.
Qualifications for this role:
2+ years proven experience in business development, preferably in advertising or digital sales.
Self-driven with a laser focus on meeting and exceeding growth targets.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and business strategy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM software.
Around 25% of the time will be in the field, 75% in-office/remote.
